Could you introduce yourself in a few lines so that our community can get to know you better?
My name is Nolwenn, I'm 20 and I've been a plus-size model since I was 18. influencer photo and lifestyle model on my instagram account Nolwenn dls.
I worked as a model in Paris and Los I also posed for the American lingerie magazine Élégant Magazine. I'm less than a metre 70, and yet I was able to walk the catwalk for Fashion Week in particular.
I hear a lot say "I can't be a model because I'm too short personally, I think that's wrong. You have to try to find out, these are just simple criteria. My height has never been a problem, yet I'm considered small for a model.
When did you start your social networking activity as a lifestyle and photo model influencer?
I started my account Nolwenn dls in 2018, at first I only shared photos for my friends and family, but one thing led to another and I started posting photos of my own. shootingsfrom my travels. Then I switched my account to public mode, and little by little using hashtagsmy account gained subscribers. People started asking me for advice, liking my photos, following my every move. storiesthey asked me more about my life. It felt weird at first, but now I think it's great to share my content with them.
And that's just the beginning!
What triggered you off and why did you embark on the social networking adventure in the first place? instagram ?
As I said, it wasn't planned.
One day, I put my account Nolwenn dls in public mode to test it out, I started adding hashtags, and little by little it began to grow.
How much time do you spend on your articles or videos? Production, assembly...? Do you have any organizational tips for other photo and lifestyle model influencers?
Ouuula. I'll have a lot to learn myself. It's only been a year since I've really been on Instagramand it's only been a few months since I started posting regularly. I try to be as natural as possible in my photos, and I also share my experiences.
I'm trying to break this image of the model who never has a hair out of place.
What a community and target audience-you?
I don't target the audience, the audience targets itself. I make the content I like. I talk about my life, my experiences, I post photos of myself. I have a little bit of everything! Young people, older people, adult mothers who ask me for advice on how to their daughters who wants to start modeling. Girls who want to be models small size, and asks me how to do it. I also get young women asking me for fashion and beauty tips, and men coming in for a chat.
I have many men who follow me and send me messages of support and kindness. They don't follow me for advice, but only because they like my account, my adventures and my photos. I really do have everything!
Where do you find most of your inspiration? And which social networks do you use the most?
I'm all about going natural. I find that with reality TV and what we see today, naturalness is getting lost. Between the puffy lips, the plastic buttocks, the false nails, the false eyelashes... brief. I get a lot of messages from young girls who get confused and have complexes because they don't look like all those girls they see on TV.
My Nolwenn dls account is there, to show them that you can feel good about yourself, even if you haven't had Nicky's bum done! Minajand a not suction-cup lips!
What was your strategy for developing your community? Instagram ?
Being close of my subscribers, respond to them as much as possible, and interact with them.
But I plan to be even more so.
How do you manage your time, between family, work and social networks? Do you have a job or activity other than your work as a photo and lifestyle model?
I make myself a schedule at the beginning of each week. Each day I know what I'm going to post, what I have to do, what my appointments, etc. I need my evenings with my girlfriends to decompress and think about other things, it gives me a break.
My family don't live in the same town as me, so I don't see them much, but I do Face Time with my mother almost every day. When I loses She's my conscience and knows how to set me straight.
Next to I work in as a model.
Do you make your own visuals and photos? And if so, what equipment do you use?
My photos are taken either by professional photographers, sometimes by my friends and also by my favourite photographer, my mother. (it's everywhere haha).
What are your 3 top tips for someone just starting out on the market? Instagram ?
Be patient.
Be close to your subscribers.
Be aware that you can't please everyone, and that's no problem.
What would you like to undertake or develop next in your life as a photo and lifestyle model?
Start a YouTube channel, so that I can develop my creativity even further, and make covers. Share my song creations with my subscribers on video. Create associations to combat harassment, whether at school or at work. cyber. Some people, especially on the Internet, allow themselves to do harm, simply because they know they won't be punished. Most don't take responsibility for what they say, and hide behind false accounts, thinking that anonymity protects them. This should not be the case.
What do you think makes a successful collaboration proposal?
For me, a successful collaboration is one that introduces my subscribers to new products or services, and is in line with my account's content.
